What are Virtual Servers?
NetSecurer Virtual Servers and Virtual Desktops runs in a Virtualized Environment created by the Citrix XenServer Hypervisor which runs on the physical hardware providing resources to multiple operating systems running on top. A Virtual Server or Desktop is an actual server or desktop running virtually as if they were running on their own hardware independently. While the Virtual Server provides services throughout the network as provisioned, the Virtual Desktops are use to connect the workstations to your users through thin client or using existing PC workstations as terminals.
Thin client terminals uses less power and are more resilient to hardware failure, this is because most of the parts which contributes to hardware failure are removed. Hardware failures can be caused by things such as fans, so the thin client terminals are fan-less in most cases, and others like hard drives, which are not necessary because the user desktop is in the datacenter which assigns storage as needed.
