How our Email Content Filter Works
All emails are directed through MessageLabs platform, hosted in secure data centers worldwide
Each email message is scanned to assess its compliance with your acceptable usage policy, local rules and specific requirements
Any email that triggers a rule is subjected to a range of possible actions, such as ‘block/delete’ and ‘redirect to administrator’
All email that doesn’t trigger a rule is permitted to pass
Reports summarizing data collected and actions taken by the service can be easily generated

In order to implement our Email Content Filter service you must already be using or purchase our Email Anti-Virus or Email Anti-Spam filter service. Our Email Content Control or Email Image Control Filter services can then be activated for an additional small monthly fee to the existing service. Content Control can also be used to activate our Policy Based Email Encryption to encrypt messages according to organization-defined rules.
